Spring Front Porch Decor

Over the weekend, we had beautiful weather that made us want to be outside. Since we can’t really go anywhere right now, we used our time to clean up the front yard a little and I broke out some spring decor to spruce up the front porch. It felt so good to sweep away the dreariness of winter and soak up some sunshine, even though we will likely still get more snow. Since most of us are starting to go a little stir crazy, I figured it would be nice to brighten things up for neighbors walking by.

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know that we recently had our house painted. A year and a half ago when I shared my fall front porch makeover, we replaced our exterior lights and I declared my ultimate goal of painting our house, including the brick, and getting a new front door. Well, one out of two isn’t bad 😉 While I did not get my dream front door YET, our strange dragon lion front door never looked so good! Here is a before and after for ya.Two images display a two-story house transformation. The "before" showcases a brick and white exterior with a classic white garage. The "after" reveals a modern design featuring black and light-colored paint, dark garage doors, and trim—perfectly enhancing decor for any season. Text reads: "Before & After Exterior House Paint.

What do you think? I often see neighbors walking by and stopping to stare. I am not sure if they love it or hate it, but we are totally in love! More to come on how we chose the colors and addressed the sides and back of the house.

With the exterior finally in line with our taste, I was naturally excited to decorate the front porch this weekend. All the items I used we already had, some of which you may recognize. A vibrant turquoise front door with a pineapple wreath welcomes spring. A black metal chair with a polka-dot cushion sits on the decor-rich front porch, boasting a black-and-white striped rug. A potted plant on a small table adds a touch of greenery.

If you are new here, I made the pineapple wreath a few years ago to match the pineapple door mat I snagged on clearance. The funny thing is, neither ever really coordinated all that well with the exterior, but they seem destined for it now! A teal front door with a decorative wreath featuring a pineapple design welcomes you to this charming spring decor. On the striped rug, a coir doormat adorned with colorful pineapples adds cheer, while a small black table holds a potted plant on the inviting front porch.

The side table is one of my famous IKEA Hacks and I borrowed the faux plant from our family room since we are currently staying home amid the corona virus pandemic.A woman in sunglasses and an orange sweater stands confidently on a striped doormat next to a teal door, adding vibrant decor to her spring-ready front porch. A colorful wreath adorns the door, while a black chair with a cushion and a potted plant complete the inviting scene.

A simple black chair from our outdoor dining table and a throw pillow top off the look. A person wearing black boots and jeans stands on a striped rug on the front porch, where a doormat with three pineapples in red, pink, and yellow adds a splash of spring decor against the brown background.
