Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Tablescape
Hello friends! We are officially enjoying summer now! Can you believe it? With only two more weekends until the 4th of July, I thought it was time to get a little patriotic. Something about the 4th of July just feels like summer from the fireworks to the BBQs 🙂 Most frequently we celebrate America’s birthday outdoors, but what if that’s not an option? Today I am sharing an alternative with my Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Tablescape. This post contains affiliate links. For more information, please see my policies.
Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Tablescape
When I think of the 4th of July I can’t help but imagine a festive backyard party, but what if it rains? Or what if it’s 120 degrees where you live? Or maybe you don’t have an outdoor space? These are all real possibilities so this year I set my table up inside. But rest assured, if you can take the party outdoors, this table setting is outdoor friendly!
If you caught My Favorite Decorating Hack post, you will notice that I have done it again! You guys, I am not exaggerating when I say you need to invest in some glass hurricanes. They can be used for SO many occasions! This time I transformed these versatile gems for just $4 when I picked up some red sand and striped candles from the Dollar Tree! Unfortunately, you have to order a whole case online, but I found these similar candles and sand on Amazon if you don’t have a Dollar Tree nearby.
And how could we celebrate America’s birthday without an American flag? I bought these last year, but I see them all over this time of year for pretty cheap.
If you have read any of my tablescape posts, you know I am a BIG fan of white plates because they go with EVERYTHING! So when I was shopping for new outdoor plates, it comes as no surprise that I chose these white melamine dishes and the best part is, they are dishwasher safe!
For a table runner, I used my latest tablescape hack that I am crazy about. The paper table runner! The one I used here and in my Pineapple Spring Tablescape, was a roll of craft paper I found at Hobby Lobby on clearance for $1.50! Such an affordable way to change things up. And if it gets dirty, you can throw it away. You can also use peel and stick paper and leave the backing in place. These tend to be glossy so they should wipe up nice. Wrapping paper is another option.
To add to the patriotic feel, I used some holiday paper plates and napkins on top of my outdoor dishes. This is an inexpensive way to bring the festivities to the table and make for easy cleanup!
All of these decor items would also look great on a patio table or a picnic table making the possibilities endless for a fun and festive celebration!
