Pineapple Spring Tablescape
It’s hard to believe we are seven days into March already! I feel like just yesterday I was dreading taking down all of our Christmas decorations! With Spring right around the corner (I hope!) and Easter in less than a month, I thought it was the perfect time for a fun tablescape that could be used for the holiday or any spring/summer festivities 🙂

I must admit, this entire spring tablescape was inspired by these yellow pineapple plates I snagged last summer at HomeGoods. They are actually melamine outdoor plates, but they felt so fresh and springy, I figured, why not?Â
I paired these colorful dishes with my go to white plates which you may recognize from my Thanksgiving and New Years tablescapes. I have said it before, but will say it again, white dishes go with EVERYTHING! Seriously. I use these for almost every table setting, but by pairing them with different salad plates and napkins, you get a whole new look without owning a million sets of dishes.
And can we talk about this runner? Ummmmm, it’s paper! Yep. I wanted to use something a little funky, but gosh darn it, I didn’t have a runner like that. So when I was aimlessly wandering the aisles of Hobby Lobby and came across a 20 ft roll of craft paper for $1.50 on clearance, I was instantly intrigued. I wasn’t sure what I would do with 20 ft of it, but for $1.50, I figured I could chance it and use it for something else if my runner idea didn’t work out. But it did, and I still have plenty more for future use 🙂
Did you think you were having de ja vu when you saw my pineapple hurricanes? See, I told you these things were versatile! If you missed my post last week about glass hurricanes, check it out.Â
Since I am all about recycling decor in different ways, I couldn’t help but break out some of the faux flowers I used in my tablescape last spring. Even though they are silk, I think they add so much life and color to the table. And while we are talking about recycling, that silver vase is the base of a broken soap dispenser! I saved it thinking I would use it for something someday, and I have actually used it several times now! See a little light hoarding never hurt anyone, haha!
To finish the table off, I broke out my natural woven placemats for the place settings on either side of the table. I liked how the natural color played off the wood bases inside my hurricanes.Â
