Holiday Cheer Christmas House Tour 2017
The holiday season is here and Christmas is only 12 days away! Can you believe that? I feel like only yesterday it was summer, but that is partly due to the continued 60 degree days we keep having. Come on mother nature, give me some snow 🙂 Winter weather or not, our house is ready for Christmas. Decorations are up and lights are strung and today I am going to share our Christmas decor.

If you caught my post last week or follow me on Instagram, you know my motto this year is less is more. For years I would break out ALL the decorations I had and go completely crazy. Then January would roll around and I would dread taking them all down and when I finally did, the house always felt so empty. In the spirit of working smarter and not harder, I selectively chose my decor this year and decorated only a few rooms. Most of the decorations land in our family room where we put up our tree and spend the most time. AKA, that’s where the TV is 😉
I normally don’t do the holiday pillow swap, but I couldn’t resist when I found these fun Christmas pillow covers on clearance at H&M last year for only $3 each!
I played up the color with some festive red blankets I had on hand. I know there is a great debate out there over neutral Christmas colors or red, but our house already sports the red, so I’m on board.
These “Let It Snow” letters have been a staple in my holiday decor for years now. If only I could get the forecast to participate 🙂
I decided to change up our Christmas stockings this year because I am totally in love with all the faux fur this season. You might have gathered from my DIY Wreath a few weeks ago 😉
I just couldn’t help myself when I saw this modern, gold, reindeer stocking either! It’s the perfect compliment to the fur stockings!
And the faux fur cone trees are further proof of my obsession!
From the family room, I moved up to the kitchen. In here, I kept things very simple and only added a centerpiece on the kitchen table.
This glass hurricane is also part of my summer decor but I loved the simplicity and industrial feel of the cement base mixed with some faux greenery and miniature Christmas bulbs.
Then I made my way into the entryway. I started by adding my favorite wooden Noel sign which jumped into my cart one day at HomeGoods 😉 I topped it off with some embellished greenery and the larger version of the sparkly wooden Christmas trees I have on the fireplace.
This neutral palette plays perfectly with the faux fur wreath I made for the back of our front door. You can learn how to make your own here.
From there, I made my way into the dining room. I used my silver and gold table runner and paired it with these simple white ceramic Christmas trees.
The last stop on my Christmas decor tour is the living room.
I upped the Christmas vibe in here with a simple coffee table centerpiece. I just added an assortment of Christmas bulbs and a candle to the coffee table bowl.
Then I created some DIY Christmas art work with this free printable!

I absolutely love everything! I am inspired to up my game! Hope you get snow soon. It’s freezing and snowing in PA. I’ll send some your way.
Awwwww, thank you so much! I hope we get some snow too! I would love to have a white Christmas 🙂 Stay warm!
Very nice! I especially like the sparkly and fur trees! I’ll try to tell the snow to come your way. We had our first snowfall here in Connecticut on Saturday and are expecting another inch or two tomorrow!
Thank you! I just couldn’t say no to all the fur this year 🙂 I am so jealous of your snow! I’ve been seeing all the pictures on Instagram. It snowed a little back in October, but nothing since. What the heck?!
Whole house so beautifully decorated!
Very well done! Love all your products and the cost. Just goes to show that you don’t have to spend a lot.
Thank you so much! I have always believed beautiful spaces can be designed on a budget 🙂
So pretty!! Love all the pops of red!! Love it all!!
Thank you Haley! It’s hard to resist the red when I have so much of it already 😉
Can you tell me where your entryway credenza is from? I’ve been looking for one just like it.
Hi Sarah! I found the credenza in the entryway on Craig’s List several years ago and refinished it. I am not sure what your budget it, but here are a few options that are similar.
